Chapter 1 by Razor7826 Razor7826

There I sat, PM on a Friday night on the fifty-seventh floor of the Delta Tower. All I had to do was finish looking over some progress reports and I would be done for the weekend. Taking note of the success rate for my main experiment, I stood up and walked over to the floor-to-ceiling that overlooked the entire city. I could faintly see my reflection in the window. About five-half-feet, I wore a tight purple sweater underneath my lab coat and a long sleeved, tight satin blouse under the sweater. My pencil skirt is a bit crumpled from a lot of sitting around and sleeping in it. A pair of pantyhose tightly wrap my lower half and my expensive pumps... no, I put the pumps aside since lab works are way more comfortable in a pair of running shoes. My slightly disheveled black hair was held behind my head with a scrunchies, and a pair of glasses rested on my nose. The garment felt sticky on my skin as they have never left my body for a while. I knew that if I ditched the glasses, wore more revealing clothing, get out of the lab, actually started taking time off, and... uh... took showers and wear deodorants, I would have no problem snagging a man, or a woman. Or a cute femboy with tight ass. Or better, a futa woman, a tall hot woman packing both equipment and fucks like wild beast. But, as usual, my drive for success kept me in this lab and kept me at work this late at night. But hey, at least I still wash my hair and do workout at our office's gym.

I'm Dr. Mary McShane. I head Cybernetics Laboratory One in the tower headquarters of the Delta Corporation. For the last three years, my research team has experimented with cybernetics, particularly the interaction of the human brain with a cybernetic interface. Within the last six months, we've made vast progress, finally being able to remotely control large mammals, although the field has still had a great amount of difficulty. For starts, the process is irreversible. All attempts at reversing the procedure led to a quick of the test subject. Secondly, we had no idea how much conscious control the test subject retained after the cybernetic installation. What we do know is that after the box is installed at the brain stem, their basic motor control is manipulated by and only by an external controller. While we have refined the controls, I can barely imagine the difficulties on controlling real human beings. As far as I can tell, tests on live humans are still years away.

My reflections were interrupted by the beep signifying an email. I sat myself back down to read the missive. It was from my boss, CEO Frederica Wilson, one of the richest and most powerful futanari women in the country. She wanted to meet with my concerning a report I had filed earlier that day. I was a bit surprised to see that she was here this late as well, but I guess it was to my advantage, so no bother. I took the elevator up the nine floors to her huge office.

"Ah, Dr. McShane, glad to see you are still here! Come, sit down, have a drink." The CEO was perfectly smooth, as usual.

"No, thanks, I'm fine." Me being the killjoy, as usual.

"I hear the is a problem you wanted to talk to me about, Mary."

"Yes, ma'am. Going over the recent budget reports, the money earmarked for my department is larger than the actual sum that we received. It seems as if some of the money is being filtered into a side project, but I don't have access to more data." I was a bit puzzled as to why there was some outside of my reach.

"Oh, I had Dr. Ben start funding an offshoot project that we may use in the future. Nothing you need to worry about. Let's talk about you, on the other hand. You look terrible. When was the last time you took sho... I mean went home? Have you been taking enough time off?" She seemed about to eager to change the subject, but as I started to interject, she interrupted me.

"Take the week off, and when you come back, you can resume the work on the project."

I protested "But...but I need to work on this potential breakthrough! We've made so much progress, and now you want me to stop? Are you.... by any chance, transferring me?"

"No, no, Mary, I never have any intention to remove you from the project. You have done so much for the progress of this project and I'm grateful for that. I just think you need a rest. And while doing so, I think the cybernetics project could use a bit of new blood. And that is enough. Please go home as soon as you can."

I quickly left the room and returned to my office. How dare she suspend me from my own project! Even if it's just temporary I couldn't just accept that since there's a chance for it to be permanent. There was something going on, so I started to investigate. A few abnormalities jumped out at me concerning the Delta Corporation.

First of all, there were the abnormalities surrounding my own project. Secondly, there was a recent accident inside the bio-engineering department. Thirdly, the department of medicine has had a lot of staff turnover recently, which was reminiscent of my own removal. Lastly, there was that bitch Wilson, who I never trusted in the first place.

What should I investigate?
