The Awakening

It began as darker, intrusive thoughts in the deepest recesses of your mind. Power plays, domination, seductions of the highest caliber, and the sweet "feeding" of a soul's energy upon release. You were relatively soft-spoken, keeping mostly to yourself unless with a closer group of friends. You've had your fair share of relationships and encounters certainly, but they've always been few and far between, and nothing like these new visions floating within your subconscious. Then the dreams began, deep, vivid, visceral, and clear. You felt a tugging upon your soul the likes of which you could never explain. All your life you wrote yourself off as simply weird, different, or strange, an outlier, a black sheep, someone who was usually there but not "in". Your old life was ending, your new life had already begun without you knowing, and you had no idea just where it would lead you...

A/N: Hello, CHYOA community! ZEN here and after some five or six-odd years, give or take a couple of months, I've returned with a new adventure to share. I'll be writing the main thread and a select choice of branching paths, but otherwise, I'll be leaving the story open to reader submissions. The only rules I'll be enforcing for submissions are standard CHYOA guidelines (I.E , underage, , etc.) and a minimum of 700 words per submission. This is an adventure story mainly geared towards the male POV fantasy as I myself am male, but female and non-binary POVs can easily be worked into the mix.
