The Adventures of the Briarwolf Guild

In a different part of our universe, there's a binary star system in the civilized heart of the Andromeda Galaxy. In that galaxy, there's a planet that lay in the habitable zone. It's twice the size of our planet, it requires two suns to provide energy to the planet, and four moons to stabilize the planet, and give a regular set of seasons, as well as 24-hour days. Magic and technology fuel the multiple different civilizations, of multiple different races that live here. Like any civilized world, there are multiple different factions that vie for power. Some fight for justice, some fight for world domination, and some just do it because they want to.

Then there's the Briarwolf Guild, a young, neutral guild that does not care highly for politics or world domination. These guild members simply travel the world in search of adventure, fame, fortune, glory, and sometimes, the earthly pleasures. The two founders of the guild had rocky beginnings, and found a place of happiness in the form of adventuring and the occasional mercenary work. One of them is the human battlemage, Cesar Iglessias; while the other is the High Elven Archeress, Janissa Lyssandra. The two had run into one another in a small tavern outside of the Great Sulphur Wastelands, doing some freelance work, as part of a 20-person team. They were the only ones that survived the adventure, and brought with them vast amounts of wealth, as well as a sense of bonding. They also shared a common view that the world, as vast as it is, needs a balance between good and evil, between the rich and the poor, because that is the nature of life. Eventually, they formed the guild, and started to bring in others who share the same view of neutrality, and a sense of balance in the world.

And so, on one fine northern spring morning, a messenger sends a contract to the guildhouse in a multi-race neutral city called Freeport. Nestled in a Mediterranean climate, with snow-capped peaks in the background of the fortified city, and a lush climate below, people come to Freeport to take in its warm, dry summers, and cool, wet winters. Cesar & Janissa read the incoming message carefully, then call upon the rest of the guild--currently four others for a total of 6--to the main hall. There's the Draconian sorcerer, Deraxle Duxanamon; the half-elven rogue, Catello "Cat" Auditore; the Amazon warrior, Trinity Panthra--or Trini the Panther; and the Neko shamaness, Sakura Miyamoto. The support staff and guards do their respective jobs, as the six adventurers settle in for their latest meeting.
