The Kingdoms:
Anora's Monarchy has tight control over its noble families, with the power to allow or deny noble marriages. The chief rival to the monarchy is The Church which acts as an independent organization outside of noble power structures.
Calgurris is Mired in the politics between the failing noble houses and the up and coming guilds, recent events have sown the seeds of chaos in the city state.
The Northern wastes are Extremely Matriarchal. Menfolk have little to no representation in positions of power, and often leave home for better conditions, when allowed. Raids into other regions consider hostage capture to be of utmost importance.
Sana'a is a sprawling kingdom of semi-isolated Oasises. Reputed to be shrewd traders, whirlwind demonic warriors and brilliant academics.
Ryochi lies in the far east and is headed by the Dynasty of the Goddess. And their Emporor has lived an unusually long life...
