New beginnings as you need to remind yourself. Mystic University itself was a big change from your Trade Highschool, in your fairly rural upbringing. Being in the the Middle of the large city of Mystic was slightly unnerving, not only the level of of sound but the different variety. Instead of the birds, the wind, and a occasional horse the sounds of the city . The cars driving, advertisements and the occasional " Fuck you Motherfucker" screamed out which seemed to be favorite phrase from the locals.
Then the university itself was reasonably large consisting of at least 12 different academic buildings, not to mention the labs hobby buildings and dorms. You stomach knotted a bit at the mention of dorms. While you were capable of taking care of yourself and being decent at maintaining a household , your parents being away quite often, more change that you had to try to embrace. You breathe out deeply as you look once more at Dorm you were given according to you instructions. Khan was the name , instructions noted it was near the Blacksmith hobby building and loosely central. As you drove your older pick up in and ... wow no missing that. Large Statue of a Mongolian mounted archer , over 10 feet tall . You pull in close to the dorm as you can get as mobs of students and their family chatter and begin the moving process.
You sigh your parents being on a business couldn't come. They did at least make sure you had some things to Help, A good knife for boxes, A dolly for moving the bigger items if there was elevators, which you suspected there was , and others. They tried their best they were also just permanently busy. You started walking up just to check your dorm location was correct apparently 77. Which according to instructions was on the third floor?
You search seeing No 77 but you do see a unlabeled door. For the hell of it you open it to more stairs. A Spiral staircase made out of high quality wood , perhaps maple you think, bring you to another door that says 77. You try your key and it unlocks to a room. In fairness a lot bigger room then you would have expected. A circular ish Heptagon that appeared to roughly 40 by 40. A lot more space than you expected. You looked around and you note the furniture already in here. A king sized bed frame with ... admittedly a pretty beat up mattress. the fact that it was king sized struck you as odd, the whole thing sorta struck you as odd really but you also weren't complaining. Their appeared to be two closets That were fairly deep for reach in closets but certainly not walk in closest. A desk with a cheap looking clip on desk lamp. Which upon further inspection didn't have a bulb. You sigh and upon quick inspection is a 40W size, easy enough to find ... maybe you can even get a one that changes colors. You add that on your list to do. A simple wooden desk chair that looks like it got made 2 decades ago. A dresser in addition the closest simple wooden , not fancy only looked like a few knobs were missing. A full length mirror opposite the dresser. Everything but the bed and 2 closests and the amount of space .. was more in your expectations. Welp you can figure out what to do with your space later, time to move things as you turn around you bump into someone who wasn't there a moment ago and you need to catch her before she goes tumbling down the stairs before you can get a word in.
