Spa Day

You park your car at the strip mall plaza, a little hesitant. You had won a coin from some drunk guy at a game of darts last night in the pub. Actually, he owed you a pitcher of beer but insisted he was broke save for this coin. He tossed it in your general direction and stumbled into the night.

The coin appeared to be made from gold. It had a crest of a lion fish imprinted into either side and an address in tiny letters around the rim of the coin. Before you had the thing appraised, you decided to go to the address, since it was only a 20 minute drive from your house.

The strip mall seemed completely deserted. There were about 20 stores in the strip before you and another 15 in the strip to your left. There were no signs. A lot of the stores had blacked out windows. Some had broken windows. There was a large department store towards the center of the strip. The address on the coin was to the left of that.

You cautiously approached the blacked out glass door, stepping over a cheeseburger wrapper with bite marks in it. You expect the door to be locked. Must've been some sushi restaurant where they gave fake gold coins to kids or something. But the door swung open... So you stepped inside.

Some sunlight poured through cracks in the black paint on the glass. You stand in a lobby with blueish gray tiles and no furniture. At the end of the room, about 15 feet from the front door is what appears to be a receptionist window. Besides the window is a wooden door with a circular metal knob.

You approach the window and notice the dark blue curtain hanging at chest height behind the glass of the receptionist window. On the curtain is a note which reads,

"Ring bell for service"

So you ring the bell. You hear some shuffling around and, after maybe 30 seconds, a someone appears behind the curtain. A pale, manicured hand with bright red nails slips past the curtain and a soft voice asks,

"Payment, please?"
