From the conservative right:

Same sex marriage was not supported. Abortion is **** and the laws are changed to reflect this. No more support for unwed mothers, no more hand outs for pregnancy out of wedlock. To bolster this effort the leaders of the Right had passed into law a "clearer" definition of what sexual activity was.

"Sexual activity is an act of coitus between a man and woman with the intent to procreate such that the woman, after the gestation period, will give birth to a child."

The Right believed this new definition would help them make sexual activity limited to men and women clearer then wrote into law that sex out of marriage was punishable by prison time. They believed this would stop all sex out of marriage should the law be appropriately enforced by the authorities.

Unfortunately, this was not the case.

Once abortion became illegal, there was an uproar in the community as this was infringing on their freedom rights. After several court cases including appeals, it finally went up to the supreme court and the conservative court upheld the law together with the new definition. The feminism movement was mobilized and women started to withhold sex from men to "prove a point" that this new system was not maintainable.

The appearance of cracks...

The first instance of things to come and the change in society happened a few years after the change. A couple were arrested while engaging in oral in a cinema. In front of the court it was successfully argued that they did nothing wrong as they were not having sex out of marriage thanks to the new definition where, firstly oral is not considered coitus and secondly you cannot get pregnant from oral. Since the definition of sex was so narrow, oral could be considered the same as any other activity like jogging, swimming or sunbathing, it was argued. Any of these activities are natural and acceptable in a free society. This opened the flood gates for other deviant behaviors with the gay and lesbian communities leading the way. There were open displays of masturbation and oral in public and anal sex. The police tried to control the situation at first but once it was argued that you cannot get pregnant from masturbation, oral or anal, and these we not sexual activities, they relented. The other turning point was when a man (not the husband) and pregnant woman were "caught" having coitus, with her husband receiving oral. Again the authorities tried to imprison the persons involved, but the court ruled against the prosecution. The successful argument was that there was no intention to procreate because the pregnant woman was already pregnant and therefore this act was not considered a sexual activity. Finally, sex with a condom or birth control also fell out of the definition of sexual activity because there was no intention to procreate.

The authorities eventually gave up on trying to enforce the law as it became increasingly difficult to identify who had the intention to procreate when taking part in sexual activity. The right has lost the battle but being staunch anti-abortionists, they adopted the practice of anal sex outside of wedlock.
