Power of the Dragons

1 Million years ago, a dragon known as Ionus was born. He was the dragon of the Nova element. It wasn't exactly an element, more accurately it was the power to use the other 12 elemental powers. With his powers, he created two offspring. The Time Dragon Chronus and the Space Dragon Galaxios. Galaxios was responsible for the creation of the Light Dragon Raydo and the Darkness Dragon Ecliptor. Chronus was responsible for creation of the 6 more dragons. The first of which was the Plasma Dragon Paralax. Then came the core elements. The Fire Dragon Infernox, the Water Dragon Aquana, the Earth Dragon Titano, the Air Dragon Aeros, and the Lightning Dragon Electron. Then Aquan and Titano created there own offspring. Aquan created the Ice Dragon known as Fross, and Titano created the Nature Dragon Jungar.

These 13 creatures would be labeled the "13 Legendary Dragons" 3000 years later is when Ionus gifted one of the first humans his powers. This would become the birth of the Draconic race.

We jump forward to 18 years before the present day where the Draconics live in a separate realm from humans due to a war long ago. However, there realm is much like the human realm, (Big cities, advanced technology, cars, etc) however they are a bit more advanced due to there abilites.

On this day, history was made. The first ever draconic to have the Nova powers since the founder of there race was born. However, the Draconic civilization wouldn't find this out for another 18 years. You see, over time, the Draconics found a way to surpress their powers till the age of 18. This was because dragon powers were hard to control at a young age.

They would set up a school system along with this. Children would go to normal school until there high school graduation. During there graduation ceremony, each student would have the seal on there power removed. A dragon made of whatever element they had been gifted would form behind them to signify what dragon powers they were given.

Enough exposition, let's jump in to the story.

Zetock Region, Violet O'Hara's House

It was graduation day for the seniors of Ionus High School. One man in particular was excited. Jason Novak had been waiting for this day. He couldn't believe it was finally time for him to find out his powers. However, graduation wasn't for another hour, so what was Jason doing? Fucking his ex-girlfriend of course.

Jason and Zay had been best friends since kindergarten. Jason had been peer pressured into picking on Zay the first day of kindergarten, but went to apologize and ask Zay if he wanted to be friends afterwards. They had been a dynamic duo eversince.

"Sup J, ready to see what dragon gift we have?" The dark male would ask the emerald eyed boy.

"Been ready my whole life Zay. Can't wait to see what it is and then go Drakkon University in the Capital." Jason would say to his friend.

In the Draconic Realm, there were many cities that had University's for Young Draconics to go to so they could learn about and control there powers. However, one stood amongst them all as the best, Drakkon University in the city of New Ion. New Ion was the capital city of the realm and full of dynamic cultures. It was every high school senior's dream to go that school. Jason had been lucky enough to get in to the school on a battle scholarship.

Another interesting thing that is different about the Draconic Realm is sports. There is only one sport in the realm, Dragon Battles. Its simple, its a five on five match to see which team can knock out all five members of the other team first. Killing isn't allowed nor cutting off or destroying body parts. However, weapons and dragon powers are fair game. In Highschool, it was only weapons due to no one having powers just yet.

Jason was Ionus High School's top Dragon Battler. He was popular at the school, and yet he had only had sex with Violet. The reason behind this is that Jason didn't really like any of the girls at his school. None of them had interesting personalities to him, Violet included. Violet was just his first girlfriend and he had a form of attraction to her.

Back to Jason and Zay

After Jason and Zay talked for a bit, it was time for graduation. The way it worked was simple, each student was called up to the stage, where they would then receive their diploma and the seal on their powers would be removed with a spell in the diploma. After it was removed, the students powers would manifest itself in the form of an elemental dragon.

It had been a long graduation before it was Zay's turn. Zay walked up to the stage with a smirk on his face. He would happily accept his diploma, and soon would feel power start to flow through him. Soon, a creature started to manifest itself. A small fire dragon would appear and fly around Zay two times before flying into him. Zay walked off stage with a massive grin.

Soon, it was Jason's turn. He had to admit, he was nervous. He had no idea what was going to happen, so he was right to be worried. He made his way to the principal and accepted his diploma. Soon, he felt a massive flow of energy come through his body. Unlike his peers, dragon's started shooting out of Jason.

First Fire, then Water, then Air, Earth, Ice, Lightning, and Nature. However, it wasn't over yet. A plasma dragon shot out, followed by a light and a dark dragon. Although plasma, light, and dark were rarer than the core elements, their were still a lot of people with those powers. No, what shocked people was what came next. A purplish dragon with galaxy swirls and then a cobalt dragon with light blue swirls came out of Jason at the same time. They were the space and time dragons! All 12 of these dragons circled around Jason before shooting above him and merging into one. Soon, a silver and gold dragon with the colors of all the others in a circle on its head appeared.

Everyone in the auditorium didn't know what to do. That could only be one dragon power, and no one had ever seen it happen ever. Jason had been gifted with the powers of the Nova Dragon, Ionus, himself.

Let's just say, Jason's life was going to change forever.

Author's Note: Well, here is my first ever actual story. This chapter might have been a bit clunky and I'm sorry for that. Had to write a lot of exposition for this first chapter.
