Noxius

Noxius is a city big enough to be a continent, its several different land masses split apart by the surrounding sea. The land masses are unified by ‘The Spire’, a giant tower said to house an infinite amount of floors with each floor being enormous in size. Noxius is widely considered a continent in the realm of D. Reality as people know it is split into several different realms, the names of these realms is widely unknown to the common being, it is said that those who posses the knowledge of the original names are driven mad. The names of the realms in of themselves hold enough power to cause the psyche to destroy itself.

The one thing the realms all have in common is the essence of mana, the life of said realms. Magic is the harness of this essence, spells are often the same in concept, gather the surrounding mana and link it to an intent such as ‘burn’, a being can do this through the power of language. Their are several thousand applications of magic, the main uses being combat and ease of life. The need for combat magic is because of magical beasts, they are a major threat to civilization everywhere. By killing a magical beast, mortals can harness anywhere from a fraction to all of a beast’s power.
