My life after a genie.

Arthur Hayden was probably one of worlds least ambitious people. Not because he was satisfied with what he had but because he was to lazy to put any effort, or to be precise he always believed being lazy was cool and going through life with a very minimum effort was a proof of him being better than other people.

Most people who heard of his life would feel that he came out better, considering he lost both his parents at the age of 10 with no living relatives he got in to foster care. Kept changing from family to family till he was 18. And also his parents and grandparents in their respective wills made sure he only got his inheritance after he was 21.

If you ask him he would say except for the inheritance his life was not so unfortunate. His foster parents were all good people none of them creeps you read about in the news. All the moving around was usually caused by financial situations or the foster parents getting their own children or one of the parents **** or they moving to another country. He still had a good relationship with all his foster families.

Well when he reached 18 he had to leave foster care. And even through his foster parents were willing to pay for his college he didn't want to cause them any trouble so he joined the army. Stayed for the minimum enlistment time and got out. His inheritance did not make him a millionaire but he thought he had enough not to worry. The story starts two years after he left the army. A turning point in his ordinary life which he was starting to get bored of.

One of his officers from his army days, called him one day. He was now working as a private contractor. Asking if he were fit and that he needed a favor from him. Arthur agreed since he had been thinking that his life needed some excitement in it.

The favor was that he needed Arthur to pose as a marine, some rich woman had requested an escort of marines to some island of the cost of Egypt. Something about exploring underwater temples. The contract was for 20 marine and one got in to an accident so Arthur was to replace him, he was reassured that it was probably nothing and Egypt was not really a hot zone, so Arthur went to Canada where he met the team and their client. Her name was Sara Afton. She was one of the most beautiful woman Arthur had ever seen in his life if the reactions of the other team members were anything they thought so too. She had booked a private plane for us there was a total of 30 people in the team including Arthur. The 19 marines Arthur himself ,the client and 2 other women and 7 other guys those guys were supposedly archaeologist and technicians who were to opporate sophisticated devices which were to be used in the site.

Once they landed they went by a boat to the Island. Then it got total tomb rider sihit strom. Once they got in to the temple which looked like small pyramid about 5 meters tall fully hidden by vegetation. Once all of them entered the entrance got sealed which they didn't notice and traps started at first they were very easyones and quite a few broken traps which were very easy to clear. They were going underground and the path started widening to a big hall way and they realised they couldn't find the way they came in and as in many horror movies the group moved forward the traps got deadly and in one of the instance Arthur and one of the professors got separated from the group, because the guy got all excited that he found so increptions "of the legend of genie". But still he continued on with the help of the professors Arthur reached the goal which Sara had talked about it was a Court room and Arthur and the professors had got to it through a secret passage apparently. It seemed the other teem had already arrived. Arthur was about to call out loud when he noticed that all of the tecs guys were lying in a bloody pool, clearly shot and also there were only 15 of the marines left. And one of them was holding Sara by her hair hair her shirt completely torn, face bloody it was clear the guy had been beating her up. Then Arthur heard the guy tell the others " we should take all the gold for ourselves and kill this bitch". Arthur had not known these guys, and the way things looked he concluded that they were trying to have the gold that was kinda scattered around for themselves and killing everyone that got in their way. Arthur was in a perfect spot near a pillar and they had no cover so he took his ak on the lot and everyone of them were dead in a few seconds. They didn't think they would be shot from this side and most of them were facing away from Arthur. The professor rushed to Sara to help her. Arthur was a bit overwhelmed because it was quite bloody. And suddenly he heard a shot and see the professor fall. Sara stood all bloody and with a gun in her hands and before he could react she pointed the gun at him and pulled the trigger. But lucky for Arthur she was empty before she could reach for something else Arthur shot near her legs and shouted "you are going to start talking or I am killing you".

Before she could say any thing they here whooshing sounds and some ominous music. And see smoke rise from the heep of gold coins and other treasure. From the smoke formed a beautiful female body floating above the treasure. Arthur turns the gun towards her but the gun disappeared. And the smoke lady starts to talk " well since both of you have completed your human sacrifices you don't need to fight and let me clean you guys up and change the place so you can decide on your wishes With a clear mind." Before they could say any thing the three of them were teleported to an another room with big sofas with lot of cushion. All Arthur could say was" what the fuck is going on here". The smoke lady replies " ah you didn't known. It very rare for somebody to meet me with out wanting to. I am what you call a genie this woman here wants to make a wish so she came here to seeak my presence you need 7 human sacrifice since both of you qualified each of you receive one wish, boons and bane. Arthur could barely process this and suddenly he hears Sara from his side say "I have decided on my wish". It shocked Arthur and the realization hit him that she had killed all the people and the marines were only beating her because of that and that he had killed them all with out understanding anything. The Genie replays " sorry dear Arthur here completed the sacrifice first hence he gets to go first." And both of them look at you and the genie says " from the way you look you don't seem like you would be thinking clearly so let me clear your mind sport, your a special one Arthur you are the only second person to be in my presence with out trying to or knowing what I am and also the the person who made the largest sacrifice you gave me 15 lives" once she stops talking Arthur feels he could think clearly at least as clearly he would be Abel to he remembers everything but now he doesn't bother him much. And the Genie starts talking again explaining the rules.

1. I can't destroy the human race.
2. Immortality is a no go.
3. Any wish that leads to reducing the human population to less than 5% is also a big no no.
4. My wishes can't affect people whom I have already granted a wish.

Arthur thought long and hard and felt like if he asked for some powers and stuf the bane would be very bad for him and also his mind working clearly he could access all his memory and could't decide on a paticular one the more he think the more his options increased. So he made a wish.

"I want to be popular with people I'm interested in and people I'm not interested in should just not mind me ".

This wish came to him because our Arthur never considered himself to be popular and always had a low self esteem he really wasn't getting laid as much as he would prefer, but he couldn't bring himself to ask for some perverted wish.

And the Genie who could read all of Arthur's thoughts smiled at him and just"it's done. And next your turn "

Arthur was quite curious what Sara was going to wish for but he found her looking at him he just notices the all the wounds on her face is gone and she was dressed in a clean Summer dress. She has an angry look on her face and looks at Arthur and says " that's your wish". Arthur kind of felt embarrassed that it was probably a weird and silly wish but remembered that she killed all the people and replies " it is better than what killers like you would want"

And Sara doesn't react to that and faces the Genie and starts to tell her wish. She started it with a calm voice saying something about all men will be incapable of being in an affair and will not think any thing sexual about women in a relationship or women whom they are not in a relationship with. They will find being related to infidelity of any kind repulsive and men will not be able to do any kind of sexuall acts woman whome they didn't have a relationship. she kept going using different words but the concept was she didn't want guys to cheat on their girlfriends or wives. By the end of it she was trembling and looked quite sad. Once she stopped the Genie said your wish is granted.

The genie waved her hand and Sara disappeared. And turned her gaze to Arthur "well Arthur you made 15 sacrifices, it's one wish for 7 kills so you get another one."

"It's just the two of us so don't go shying like you did with the last wish. I think you are really blessed person Arthur and I like people like you. So I am going to tell you a secret people who make wishes by killing people will also have a bane that is kind of opposite of what they wanted. The more selfish and Malice behind the wish the more it backfires on them. Lucky for you, you didn't know you would get a wish when you killed those men so as long as your wish didn't have any Malice you don't have to worry".

Arthur thought hard and came up with one "I have one wish but of was a bad one please tell me and I will change" the Genie nodded so he continued " I should be super good in sexual acts, the best any women had".
The genie simply said "your wish is granted. You or that woman won't remember how you reached this temple or were the temple is located and will not be able to come back here however hard you try to."
