Zoe looks around her and feels blessed. She got married to the man of her dreams, had a grand fairy tale wedding, incredible honeymoon and in laws that seems to accept her with all their heart. The honeymoon has ended and they are on the way back to his place, to live with his parents in the mansion. As its part of tradition, the wife has to follow the man and stay in his house for a year, in order to bond and intergrate into the family. Sure, she would prefer her own house where she can just enjoy alone time with her husband Jave, but she could also use some time to get to know his family. Besides, she could also learn the role and responsibilities of a wife from Linda, her mother in law.
"Zoe, are you okay? You have been spacing out for a while now..." Jave said.
"Oh... Im allright... Just nervous... Im afraid if im going to make things awkward with your family."
Jave gave zoe an assuring smile, to let her know it will be allright. Moments later they arrived, and all of them got together and helped her settle in. Time passed by quickly, soon enough, all of them went to bed, zoe pleased that the day went smoothly for her.
Zoe wakes up next morning, earlier than everyone else. Jave has be back to work, so she lets him sleep in a lil more, and decides to surprise everyone by preparing a hearty breakfast. However,while she thought she was the first one up, it appears that Linda is already on her way out.
"Morning... are you off to somewhere, mother?"
"Yes dear, i wont be home for 4 days, going on a trip with a few friends of mine, goodness, jave must have forgotten to inform you about it... Im afraid ill leave the house for you to take care off..."
"Oh....he has...it must have slipped my mind.... Have a good trip..."
Zoe went ahead to prepare the breakfast, and soon enough jave and his dad, jonathan, sat down together to eat. Jave just as soon left for work, leaving jonathan and herself alone at home. A warm bath sounds right to calm her nerves, but having a conversation with jonathan to could be nice too...
