You are a poor farm boy named John Doe, you have never even seen the tower before but as with most young people you are entranced by stories of great fame and riches. So you set off for the capital city of Frostfall where the tower is, with all your money and supplies which amounts to 40gp, a small knife, a blanket, and about 8 days worth of food. Most of your trip is uneventful and you reach Frostfall just before night on the third day so you camp just outside the city for the night with plans to enter the tower tomorrow. After a quick meal and brief walk through the surrounding forest you crawl under your blanket and fall asleep, exhausted from your journey.

While you sleep you experience a strange dream. In it you are seemingly floating in a bright white void with streaks of color flowing around you in mesmerizing patterns. While looking around in fascination you hear a noise and you see in front of you there is a small semi transparent screen that has the words "Please choose a class" across the top and 5 buttons in the middle that read "Swordsman", "Archer", "Knight", "Mage" and "Gunslinger" intrigued, you touch the first one "Swordsman" the rest of the buttons slide out of the way and are replaced by a body of text and two more buttons that say "Confirm" and "Back", looking back up you read the text that appeared:

"Swordsman: A high offense class that uses strength and agility as well as skill with the blade to administer swift, highly precise strikes. Weaknesses: has low defense and zero ability to use or learn magic. Starting gear: Basic longsword, light armor, 3 throwing knives"

You press "Back" and quickly read through the rest of the descriptions:

"Archer: A long range class that uses agility and intelligence to use a bow as well as limited magic, has some proficiency with short swords or daggers for close range combat. Weaknesses: has limited ammo and cannot defend themselves well at close range and has extremely low defense. Starting gear: Basic bow, 25 arrows, rangers cloak, weak dagger."

"Knight: A high defense class that uses very high strength, defense, and vitality as well as defensive/healing magic to outlast enemies and strike them down with heavy weapons. Weaknesses: extremely slow and zero ranged attacks. Starting gear: Basic greatsword, heavy armor, shield."

"Mage: Uses high intelligence to cast devastating spells and high tier magic. Weaknesses: Limited mana, once out of mana becomes nearly completely defenseless, very low defense, high power spells take time to cast. Starting gear: Wooden staff, magicians robes, spellbook."

"Gunslinger: A very long range class that uses magical guns to blast raw mana in concentrated needles at foes. Weaknesses: Zero defense, low close range combat capabilities. Starting gear: Basic pistol, gunslingers coat, super cool hat."

Overloaded by all this information you ponder for a while and eventually you decide:
