Love Party Britain

In the continuing austerity afflicting UK, the previous administration had formed a loose voting alliance between the neo-conservative religious right and the increasingly feminist run left. The policies introduced included tighter controls on all television broadcast to the UK, not just terrestrial channels, to such an extent that nudity and swearing were completely outlawed. “Game of Thrones” and main other HBO classics simply could not be shown. Prostitution and topless beaches were banned and all pole dancing and lap dancing clubs had been shutdown. Men’s magazines were banned and the internet was regulated as much as possible. Even Page 3 had become a distant memory. This did not mean the sex industry in UK ceased but it was now clandestine.

Naturally there was a backlash and it was not too long before The Man Party formed in England which promised to repeal all of what they called feminist legislation. However they could not really gain anything but minority support until they were finally persuaded to change the party name, as somebody remembered their Italian political history, to The Love Party. Instantly former and indeed many current female sex workers flocked to join them together with a cohort of neo-feminists who claimed that they enjoyed pornography as much as any man.

Given the first past the post voting system the party would still have struggled to win any seats until a massive scandal broke. A sex video emerged which featured 2 men in gimp masks acting as slaves for 2 women identified as the leader of the opposition and the Secretary of State for Culture responsible for introducing all the censorship. Who leaked it was not clear but the UK press and the world media were all over the story and this led to a major exposé of a secret sex club, with all kinds of debauched behaviour, whose members were merely a subset of the parliamentary parties. Crucially this happened weeks before a General Election when thanks to a decision with an lack of foresight 16 year olds were being invited to vote for the first time and after being educated for the previous few years on the evils of sex, the male part of this cohort could not wait to break free.

The government could not react with so many of its supporters insisting that what they needed was more religious values and the opposition was in chaos without their leader. On election day, The Love Party with its liberal views and many unashamed female candidates swept to power. A couple even delivered their victory speeches topless before being arrested and subsequently released without charge because they had clearly been carried away by the moment.
