Life as a prision guard was not a very nice one, but at least the paycheck was good ans Jack could give some pirates a beating from time to time without repercution and he was passionate about it, maybe one day he would be Warden...a man could dream. But all that came crumbling down one day two years ago, a massive breakout happened, he was part of the line of defense against the rampage of pirates going up from the lowest levels.

While he considered himself very skilled swordsman for his job, he was nowhere near the monsters that wscaped that day, just standing up against the same pirates that went toe to toe with Warden Magellan was too much, but he still prevented some pirates from escaping, the average ones at the very least, it wasnt enough to even be recognized.

Jack stood up from his desk, he was tasked as the sub warden for the second level of impel down, not that he had much to do with no more than 25 inmates. His right arm still acked, back on the breakout he had stood ground to Strawhat Luffy as he was escaping, that was his last mistake that day since he was out after just one punch, one punch that he tried to block with his iron body, and was utterly shatter after a punch that went faster than sound, first he heard the punch then he started to feel it as he was already punched through a wall, it had never fully recovered.

He did his routine like always, walked through the floor.

"Hey shattered hand, let us out already!!" And "Yeah shattered hand why do you even bother, its a miracle they hadnt fired you..Dahahahahhaha"

They all lauhged at him, it was always the same, the fear the inmates had was lost with his injury, even when technically he was stronger than two years ago.

*THUD*

He punched the laughing pirate with his good hand. "Shut up, scum....while im still here I'm free to give you all some dicipline back" haki covered his fist, he had put the pirate to sleep in a single move.

Jack sat down in his desk with a sigh, his life was on a stalemate, he had learn haki to be more capable and maybe be apriciated by the upper managment, but it made no diference.

Looking down at the desk he noticed he had some new folders on it, someone had delivered them while he was on his routine. As he opened he read the report and the profile of a New prisioner asigned to the second level, a grin formed on his face, maybe life was going to give a bone back to him after all.
