Ignoring The Lanes

Chapter 1: Nasus x Qiyana

Chapter 1 by Clamor Clamor

The sounds of constant, tumultuous combat rattled the top lane of Summoner's Rift. The Curator of the Sands himself, Nasus, had his back to the wall, his tower serving as sole refuge from the never-ending pressure his enemies put on him. With the threat of **** by a thousand cuts looming overhead he was slowly losing out on his desperately needed farm, there wasn't a chance of a break in sight.

“Where is our jungler? I am in need of assistance. I cannot handle both of them alone.” Nasus bellowed, his booming voice riddled with irritation. Qiyana's ears perked up and she just scoffed, a look of disgust creeping across her face as she rolled her eyes at the request. She was bombarded with what seemed like round-the-clock petulant whining and complaining, the ill-tempered chatter steadily chipping away at her mental state, any sort of desire to actually try and win the match being virtually gone at this point.

“I will get there when I get there. Have patience, dog.” She retorted in a nonchalant fashion as she continued her aimless trek towards the bottom lane. She was just biding time, merely holding out for that surrender vote; to her, there was no real incentive to play nicely with anyone. Nasus furrowed his brow in anger and clutched his cane with a resolute determination, a desire to succeed welling up stronger than ever. With the opposing team's jungler practically living in his lane they made it a near-impossible feat to step more than a foot away from the tower. Fearing for the worst, he thought that at this rate he wasn’t going to be of any use in the match and to make matters that much worse his other laners weren’t exactly Runeterra's finest. Pressure was mounting for him to get ahead but he was stuck with little option but to turtle up and play it safe.

Battered and beaten, Nasus remained dedicated to overcoming the staggering odds as minutes went by. Looking everywhere he could, he still had no response from his jungler. The bush behind him noisily rustled and out of the corner of his eye he spotted Lee Sin popping a ward, naturally diving on top of it. Nasus took a big step back from his rival laner, Kennen, who made a mad rush at him from the front. Nasus cast his ultimate, nearly doubling in size, and braced himself for yet another two versus one fight.

It all happened so fast, Nasus moved with a precise resolve, giving it his all as he tried to lay waste to his overly-confident opponents. Qiyana managed to make her way up top when that fight started, she sat and peeked through the nearby bush and simply watched as the violent spectacle took place before her. She dejectedly sighed and took a single step out before halting entirely, freezing herself in contemplation. Why was she even here? She had already decided that the match was over a long time ago, whether everyone else thought so or not. But that didn't mean she couldn't still have some fun. An opportunity was presenting itself and she just couldn't pass it up. She quietly retreated back into the bush and continued to observe the battle from afar, a devious idea brewing in her head.

After minutes of that ferocious skirmish the air grew silent, the dust began to settle soon revealing that only Nasus was left standing with both Kennen and Lee Sin lying in a crumpled mess before him. A wave of victorious relief washed over the godlike warrior when an unusually chipper Qiyana jumped out of the bush behind him, happily prancing into his lane. He watched in exasperation and then immediate disbelief as she mindlessly began farming his minions right in front of him.

“What do you think you are doing, human?!” he inquired, pure resentment clearly emphasized in his tone.

How does she respond?
