I'll Tell You What You Want

INTRODUCTION :

Hello to you. In this story, our protagonist has been given a fantastic power. It is up to you to decide how, or why, but here is how it works.

When using the word “want” in a sentence, about someone, pronounced in front of them, that person will immediately want what was said. The desire will be immeasurable. That person will not just want it, they will need it, at any cost. It will be their newfound purpose. They will retain their original personality and skills, but they will from this point give absolute priority to what it is they now want to do. Nothing else matters as much, and even the knowledge that the power has been used on them will be irrelevant to them unless it serves their new purpose. Achieving it will bring them intense satisfaction, but will not end the effects.

If the action can be achieved multiple times, or even continuously, they will do their best to do so, for as long as they can, or die trying. If the action can only be achieved once (For example : “You want to jump up and down three times”) they will be left with a total sense of emptiness after the satisfaction of achieving it, as they will feel they no longer have any purpose in life.

Once affected by the power, a person will never be able to get free from it. The only thing that can be done after that is giving them another goal, to replace the current or previous one. Any new purpose will replace the previous one.

Everyone being different, the way they will try to achieve their desire will always be different. Smart people might think long term, and be smart about it (for example taking care of themselves so they can do it in the long run) while stupid people might put themselves in unneeded and dangerous situations (Like collapsing because they forgot to drink/eat/sleep).

Anything they think can be done to improve their chances they will try, even if it means doing other related actions before completing their purpose.

The purposes can be as simple or as complex as the protagonist makes them.
