An Airbus A380 jet soars over the Russian night sky as it takes previously believed disappeared, billionaire Oliver Queen. Having been found on Russia after 15 years of his confirmed disappeareance Queen returns home to Star City, sitting by the window Oliver contemplates his return to his city and what truly is the reason of his return. After 15 years away because of secrets he found out about his late father Robert Queen he took off after he could no longer be a part of that world. After 10 hours the jet lands in Star City's international airport. A blonde woman in her mid 60's rushes to Oliver and throws herself at him hugging him like life depended on it, "My beautiful boy! Oh, you can't imagine how happy and relieved I was when I found out you were alive!". The woman's name is Moira Queen, acting CEO of Queen Enterprises and mother of Oliver and Thea Queen. "Mom, it's so good to see you and I'm sure you have questions but could I maybe rest a bit before we get into that?" Oliver responded. "Of course baby! Oh before I forget, this is John Diggle, I hired him as your bodyguard, I hope that's okay" Moira said questioningly. "Welcome back sir, you can call me John or Diggle if it's better" the bodyguard said. " That's okay" Oliver said to Moira, "John, pleasure to meet you" Oliver said which Diggle responded with a firm handshake, " Likewise sir". Oliver and John proceeded to carry his luggage to the car and head to the Queen mansion in the outskirts of the city.
