The Evergreen Research Facility. Established in 1952 to assist the Government in their scientific endeavors remains at the bleeding edge of a vast amount of the field of science. With its vast complex and associated underground sections in the mountains separated from most of the world except for resupply and the bringing in of new equipment/subjects offers a wide array of opportunities for experimentation. Genetic engineering, robotics, cloning, mind manipulation, Artificial Intelligence, Space age materials, Social behavior research and fantastical consumables are only a fraction of what Evergreen does on the average day.

While some of its work does technically involve thing the international community would call “horrid” and “crimes against existence and every ethic known to man” the fact that Evergreen never exist in the official paperwork keeps it hidden from scrutiny. It also helps that the facility has never had a reported an incident or escape of subjects under experimentation means that the facilities onsite Morgue and cremation spot is only a precaution for such a small chance possibility. The only population center of note near the facility is the small town of Fallen Hills with a population of 590 people.The town mainly exist as tourist spot wanting to explore the forest and a place where airmen from the nearby base walk around and hang out.The citizens of Fallen Hills only know the Evergreen as an extension of the Air- Base the facility has had a storied history with the town. It has served as an excellent area to scout out potential candidates for experiments and been a useful staging ground for larger scale projects that even the facility could not hold.

The Evergreen Research Facility itself has been expanded and refurbished over the long years to suit whatever needed to be researched but when our stories take place it consist of. A heavily guarded main entrance that to this day is the most sighted part of the facility publicly, a back entrance used for deliveries and shipments and houses the facilities numerous transports and military style vehicles for when thing above ground grow worrisome for the site. Connecting these aboveground areas is a massive underground complex which houses the vast majority of the site’s scientific activity. To keep the site orderly and proper it has its own security apparatus to keep in check with the test subjects and with any above ground tourist who wander to close. The security personnel consist of active or reserve military men and woman armed with shock sticks and pistols and an on-site armory provides more fire power than the situation demands it. The ones doing the scientific work are the brightest minds that the facility can acquire. They are dressed in the standard white lab coat and black pants for man and skirts for ladies. The on-site barracks, medical facilities, nuclear generators, water filtration systems, oxygen tanks, hydroponics and well stocked supply rooms means the facility is nearly self sufficient.
