Destiny's Angel

"BE NOT AFRAID!" the light, brighter than the sun fills your vision and a voice like peeling bells hammers at your ears.

Overwhelmed you fall to your knees clutching your head sure that you'll soon be permanently blinded and deafened.

"OH SHOOT! SORRY, SORRY HOLD ON..." the voice like seven thunders booms once more before continuing in a more human register "there, is that better?Sorry about that, it's so hard to gage what you humans can tolerate."

The light slowly dims revealing a young woman with ash blonde hair, large violet eyes and gleaming white wings projecting from her back.

"Okay, um. Where was I?" The angel says smoothing the creases from her white satin gown, "Oh right, fear not mortal, for I am the angel of destiny here to aid you in your hour of need..."

She pauses as if expecting a response from you but all you do is gape open mouthed at this devine vision.

"Hrumph" she pouts at your dumb struck silence "you know I've come a long way for this the least you can do is sing a hosanna or two."

"I, I'm sorry?" You squeak but she cuts you off before you can get any further.

"No, no, it's too late now," she sniffles a hurt expression on her lovely face "I suppose, if that's how you want it, we can just get down to business."

She seems so crestfallen you can't help feel a little guilty. You find yourself trying smooth her metaphorical ruffled feathers.

"No really I am sorry," you try again "it's just you appeared so suddenly. I didn't know how to react. I certainly didn't mean to cause any offence."

"Oh that's okay," The Angel beams at you her mood shifting like quicksilver. "I guess you weren't to know the proper protocol. I forget how long it's been since an angel and a human actually spoke. But we really should get a move on, you're not the only mortal I'm supposed to be helping so if you could just tell me your name...?"
