You are sitting in front of your computer looking at your phone. You just received a picture from your best friend. One of him and his girlfriend. They met online last year and are now celebrating their 2nd anniversary. You are happy for them, but can’t help but feel a bit down. It just reminded you how bad your own love life has been going.
It has been at least a year since you last went on a date. You weren’t a ladies man so getting a date was already a hard enough for you. But so far none of the girls you went out with wanted to go serious with you. The last date even ended so bad you just stopped looking entirely.
You fiddle around on the internet until you decide to check out the website your friend used to find his girlfriend. Could it be your whole relationship problem was just looking for love in the wrong place? If your best friend can find his true love over there, why not you?
The next ten minutes you sit there, thinking. Should you, or shouldn’t you? Then you shrug and say, “What’s the worst that can happen?”
And so, you register an account. In a few minutes you are already setting up your profile and then you take some selfies. Then you let the site know which city you live in and how far you are willing to travel for your date.
You are then shown pictures of several dozens of girls. Some of them pretty, some of them not. You select the accounts of the girls you are interested in and send them a like. This way the site knows you are interested in them. Once you think you’ve done enough you close the site and spend some time watching an anime as you wait for any responses.
When the movie ends, you open the site again and check if there are any matches for you. To your surprise, there actually are. Apparently, there are a few women who actually send you a like back.
