Cooped Up

As I look back at the time of Covid I now realize that if Darlene wasn’t **** to stay with Colin and myself, then there wouldn’t have been any chance to get her into bed with myself. Nor did I ever think that she would eventually leave Colin for me. I remember it as if it was yesterday.

The big headline of the day was the provincial government finally coming out and saying that the entire population of the province was banned from going more than five kilometers from their place of residence, Essentially we were made to quarantine until further notice. I really didn’t give a shit, I prefer my own company for long periods of time.

Since my wife Amy died of a brain aneurysm and Colin was off to the Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, it was just pretty well just me at home. As a freelance accountant, I pretty well worked from home anyway so it wasn’t like I had to drive downtown to the office five days a week. As long as my clients had the internet and my email address, I would be able to continue to serve my clients. Hell, who knows, maybe even expand my business from word of mouth alone.

So I was sitting there in my La-Z-Boy chair with a bottle of cold beer when a knock came to the front door. “Who the fuck!”

I got up and went to the door, stopping to look out the small window on the left side of the door. I was shocked there was Colin with a duffle bag over his left shoulder and the hand of a gorgeous dark haired young girl who had a suitcase sitting in front of her on the veranda.

I opened the door and Colin immediately dropped the hold on the duffel bag. “Hey dad I hate to ask you this but can Darlene and I spend the quarantine with you?” As if he felt he needed to explain more “SFU sent all out of province students back to where they came from!”

“No problem Colin, you know that you are always welcomed here along with your friends!”

I reached out with both hands and made a grab for the duffel bag and the suitcase, but both of them gently swatted away as each Colin and Darlene got a hold of their luggage and made their way past me. That was when I got my first look at the rear end of Darlene before she and it disappeared into the living room right behind Colin!
