Contagion X

It had all began in a small village somewhere in the Guangdong Province of China, a report of a woman who went insane and ate all the men, including her own family. The initial weeks were kept completely off the media by the government, until the virus made its way across borders as a young man in South Korea passed away foaming at the mouth with a very high fever and respiratory complications.

Soon enough, the world was hit unprepared by this emerging threat. Alaska, Britain, Japan, none were spared. The virus had received a common designation by the media, Contagion X, a contaminant that was airborne but dormant, its inert behaviors activated when the carrier receives a second dose of the virus, through direct fluid exchange, often either sexual or through saliva and blood with an infected person that has already went through the second stage transformation.

The virus triggered different responses based on gender. In males, the virus acted as a highly lethal killer, with a 60% mortality rate on secondary infection that is physically passed. Common symptoms include respiratory issues and a shutdown of the immune system, as well as a lethal aversion to water similar to that of rabies.

For women however, the virus was drastically different. While 30% of women infected through secondary contact passed due to similar causes as the men, the remaining 70% of women who were re-infected through contact had their physical bodies altered. They began gaining slightly enhanced strength and agility, at the detrimental cost of a much faster degradation of their bodies as their physical form was exerted and pushed past safe limits. While they remained some sort of pre-infection capabilities of the mind such as basic language and interpretation of senses, an unidentified hunger drives the altered women, causing them to go on a violent rampage to and at times consume the uninfected males they come across, as well as attempt to spread the second stage infection to normal women to expand their numbers. Known as the Altered, the infected women were also often heard screaming for help, or in many cases speaking in slurred tongue in an attempt to entice males to expose themselves to them. Some level of intelligence retains, though not enough to perform long term planning or strategizing. The Altered acted like zombies for the most part.

As the world governments put aside their differences and came together to combat the spread, they were unsuccessful, and the Earth fell silent to the violent wave that took everything by storm. Pockets of humanity remained, enclaves of men who fight everyday to live, with millions of infected women banging and amassing at their gates ravenous and looking to . Uninfected women were kept in secure vaults, and in many cases the eventual re-infection of them had led to entire enclaves being decimated due to horny men secretly fucking the women and releasing them only to be tricked and slaughtered.

Danielle Winters, twenty one years old, an attractive university student with a bright future ahead of her, woke up to a nightmare. Bitten again by her altered mother, Danielle managed to escape the house. Her eyes red like that of the altered, Danielle seemed to only undergo some slight transformations, while retaining most of her human form, her mind still intact.
