Jess stirs slowly, the morning light filtering through half-closed curtains painting warm stripes across the rumpled sheets. She blinks, turns her head, and sees you. Asleep. Next to her. In her bed.

For a long moment, she just looks at you—the way the light catches your features, the peace of your sleeping face. A slow, genuine smile spreads across her lips, unguarded and soft in a way she never lets the camera see.

She shifts carefully, turning onto her side to face you fully, her hand coming up to rest lightly on your chest. She can feel your heartbeat, steady and real.
