Best Friends

I was home alone on my 35th birthday. I wasn't too happy about that but I'm stuck in that weird in between of wanting to party to wanting to just stay in and watch a movie.

I was in the shower when I heard someone knocking on my door. I jumped out and yelled down the hallway, "Who is it?" "It's Lisa! Let me in"! I just threw a towel around me to unlock the door, and there stood Lisa, a bag of goodies from the grocery and a small cake.

"I didn't want you spending the night alone. It's your birthday!" She said, loudly.

"Ok. Ok. Let me wash the conditioner out of my head while you get a movie ready"

I could hear her going through her bags while I was finishing my shower. I was hoping she brought something good to eat.

I got out of the shower and put my long T-shirt on over my sleeping shorts. Lisa was already in her sleep wear when she arrived.
