Bad Endings in Tal’dorei

It was done, supreme power was yours as the Reality Marble nestled casually in your hand. You stood in the great hall of your dark fortress, a vast floating castle of jagged black spikes and endless halls of shadow that was filled with all the monsters that made up the great army you had used to take control of both Tal’dorei and Wildemount.

Shattering the armies of the Dynasty and the Empire had been child’s play even before you found and used the power of the Reality Marble. At the height of the conflict of course, heroes had arisen to challenge fate and lead their brethren to battle. All had been defeated, some simply incinerated where they stood or blasted into atoms. Transformed into bugs and kept in jars somewhere deep within your fortress no doubt to be tormented by your minions. Or simply wiped from existence by the power of the Reality Marble.

Yet, now you ruled this world as its God Emperor and the clerics, druids and arcane practitioners of the world who didn’t serve you had been stripped of their magic. It occurred to you that you didn’t really know what to do with yourself. A lifetime of building your army, plotting to otherthrow the great powers and find the magical items you required to in turn find the Reality Marble hadn’t left much time to develop a lot of hobby’s. As you stand in your great hall, one hand resting on the throne of the same dark steel that made up most of your interior design, you think back to the captives you had held in the cold darkness of your dungeons.

Perhaps they would provide sufficient distraction for a time...

Writer’s note: Hiya there folks, I’m hoping to be continuing to work on this story at least a couple of times per week for the foreseeable future. But as I want this to be a collaborative effort I want to publish it early so other people can add to it.

As such in some of the chapters in this story there are just a list of key phrases of the kind of thing that should happen in that chapter. If you want to write it yourself go for it, if you don’t I’ll get around to it soon enough. Happy reading :)
