Artwork Adventures

The characters in this story all will have one thing in common: they have the magical ability to talk to, step into, and interact with any artwork they choose. How they acquired this ability is unknown; they’ve just always been able to do it. There are a few parameters to this talent, however:

1) They must be the only person observing the painting in order to interact with it. Therefore, no one else can be around to see them enter, so it stays a secret just with them.

2) They may enter the painting’s scene, but can go no further into the world than what’s depicted. For example, they could hop in the boat in Washington Crossing the Delaware, but they couldn’t swim to Trenton from there, if that makes sense.

Other than that, everything else is up to you. Is our protagonist male or female? What is their occupation that allows them to use this power? How do painted figures initially react to our protagonist? And how willing are they to get down and dirty with them?

Any painting or artwork in our world is free to explore.

My goal is for initial chapters to be setting up a character, and from there subsequent chapters will be about said character with specific artworks. Hopefully my initial chapters will provide the template I’m aiming for.
