Anthromon

Authors note: This is my first “from start” story. I’m still unsure about layout. Sorry if the first chapter is repetitive. I hope you enjoy it anyway.

In this world, a new form of evolution, similar to Mega-Evolving exists: Anthro-Evolution (or An-Evolving as some call it). Through a deep connection to their Pokemon, a trainer can ask the pokemon to An-Evolve, gaining more humanoid traits. As this is often used for the purpose of sex, it is actually a lot harder that one might think.

Like Mega-Evolution, An-Evolving is not permanent, but no one realy knows what ends it. The first major difference in AnEvolution is the more defined humanoid traits of the pokemon. While they keep their type(s), their physical bodies take a more human form. Paws become hands and feet, faces gain more oval shaped features, scales become more flexible, and already humanoid pokemon such as Mr. Mime have more proportioned limbs and although many pokemon are rounder or pear shape, if it was "fit" for pokemon, it will show muscles as an anthro.

Another difference is the appearance of genitals. While the anime doesn't go too deep and the games completely avoid it with "Egg groups" anthros have real working genitals. However, crossbreeding between humans and anthros has never been documented (yet?).

Which brings us to the next major difference: The Anthro-Evolution Society. The intimate nature of such an evolution requires a relationship that almost always takes years of trust and friendship. The average trainer doesn't even know it exists, let alone how to achieve it. The Antro-Evolution Society (AES) is there to keep it that way. Through methods known only to the upper echelon they always seem to know when a trainer and pokemon have "bonded". They strive to keep a lid on public knowledge of An-Evolving because as their pamphlet says "We already make them fight for our amusement, imagine if people knew what more they could do."

While gangs like Team Rocket or Magma may or may not exist (I leave that to your discretion) You have heard whispers of people with such of personality that they can dominate their pokemon into An-Evolving.

My story is not in the Ash Universe and legendary pokemon are just that: Legend. very few can actually confirm seeing one and the long term nature of the relationship may render the point moot.
