Anoholia

The storm raged on...and there was no shelter in sight other then the dense sea of trees all around them. Thunder and lightning crashed and roared as Kevin and Samantha ran through the forest, looking for some semblance of shelter.

"Kevin...Kevin...I think we are getting more lost!" Samantha panted, yelling over the deafening winds.

Kevin turned around, his short wet blonde hair sweeping over his eyes. Samantha looked exhausted...he wondered if he looked the same. Looking around, his eyes lit up.

"Sam, look! A cave. Look!" He yelled back, pointing up the hill.

Smiling as the torrent fell on them, they both dragged their wet and baggy bodies up the hill. They got closer to the cave but then Sam stopped, and turned around to Kevin.

"Its huge in there! What if there is something living in there...you know, like a bear or something?" She exclaimed.

"It beats this fucking storm! Besides, we'll just act bigger than it if there is something there! Come on!" Kevin spoke, being the first to enter the cave. Holding his flashlight, he looked around.

Sam entered slowly after him, staying behind of him. As the light shined on the walls, they soon released that this was an empty enclosure...but it was not always that. Markings and etchings were all over the walls. Ancient and faded, they still sent chills down the spines of both of them.

"What the fuck is this...?" Kevin spoke to himself.

"I don't know, its creepy thats what it is! I hate this..."

"Aw, come on Sam. This will be our adventure highlight! Found old ruins of weird serial killer cultists!" Kevin said, waving his arms at the cave, smiling.

"Well, at least we are out of the storm. Next time you decide to say 'let's cut through the forest to the next town on our amazing European trip'...I think I'm going to hold this over your head! I just want to stay in a nice bed and have a shower...but no, we're on our way to see the 'old world' like you wanted. You. Owe. Me. Mister!" Sam spat, sitting down.

Kevin grumbled, and set his bag down. He yawned, and decided he'd fall asleep. Sam thought so too. They'd explore this weird cavern tomorrow...
