A chance encounter with Emma

Mark lay on the bed in his hotel room, staring at the ceiling. It had been a long day of meetings and negotiations, but he had finally closed the deal. He smiled to himself, feeling a sense of satisfaction. He was good at his job and enjoyed the challenge of it.

As he closed his eyes, he thought about his plans for the evening. He had no desire to go out and explore the city. Instead, he wanted to order room service and watch a movie in his comfortable bed. It was a luxury he rarely had at home with his busy schedule and two teenage daughters.

As he drifted off to sleep, he didn't dwell on his recent divorce. He had come to terms with it and was content with the new direction his life was taking. For now, he was happy to focus on his work and enjoy the solitude of his hotel room.
