A Walk in Pervert Woods

It was a beautiful sunny day, and you had decided to get out of your lonely house and be lonely outdoors instead. You drove out to a park on the edge of the nearby woods. The parking lot was empty other than your car. Maybe everyone else had things to do, maybe they didn't care what a nice day it was, or maybe they just thought the name of the forest made things too awkward.

Glancing at the sign for the Pervert Woods Park, you shook your head. You'd always heard that sexy things happened in the woods here, but you'd never seen anything like that. You figured the rumors came from a mix of half truths and the local tall tale that earned the forest its name.

Allegedly, the town was founded by a woodsman who discovered a forest nymph, captured her in a snare, wooed her, and then went on to have a staggering number of children with her (the exact number varied by retelling). The story went that those children formed most of the early population of the town.

Regardless of any uncomfortable names, silly rumors, or ridiculous folktales, you had been coming here on and off for most of your life. You knew the trails well, but always enjoyed the scenery as if it was the first time you had seen it.

You set off down the trail, with no idea what the woods had in store for you that day.
