"Hey sensei can i ask you a question," Naruto asked. they had set up a camp to rest for the night before moving on to wave in the morning. Kakashi had taken first shift and Naruto was to follow after him.

"Sure, thing Naruto," said Kakashi with an eye smile.

"Why are we not allowed to cancel this mission," asked Naruto. he saw his sensei expression earlier and continues. "I meant what I said earlier about how we can most likely beat whoever Gato hires, but this is no mission for fresh Genin. especially ones like Sakura."

"so why did you not object to continue," asked Kakashi.

"Three reasons, one with you actually asking for our opinions I had a feeling there was more than we were told. two if I was right and it could not get canceled it would not help team dynamics if the others thought I was a coward for not wanting to finish the mission. the final reason is a bit selfish. I want to test myself in a real fight," Naruto said.

Kakashi let out a soft sigh. "you are right the fire Daimyo has taken an interest in the project and wants it to continue."

"probably for better trade opportunities," said Naruto.

"Most likely," said Kakashi with a shrug. "you showed good reasoning with your first two reasons for agreeing to continue. as for the last one well we all want to get a chance to truly test what you have learned. you can only do so mush in spars after all. I'm curious why none of this showed in the academy?"

"they only saw the fox and not me. I did put in an effort at first but that just got me accused of cheating and detentions. they left me alone for the most part when I stopped giving an effort and I had more time to plan some **** pranks and self study," answered Naruto.

"well your self study must have been excellent," said Kakashi. "and for what is worth I am sorry about the others. I know you are just the container not the fox."

"I can tell you treat me like the others," said Naruto. "You do not need to apologize for something that was not done by you."

"Thank you, Naruto," said Kakashi. He then turned to leave.

"oh yeah sensei just so you know I will have a few clones stay hidden while Sakura is on watch," said Naruto.

"That is probably for the best," said Kakashi. while he is sure Sasuke and Naruto can handle themselves. He did not think Sakura could beat a one armed and one-legged bandit.
