To the lobby

Brian decides the lobby is a better bet being that it is closer and has more escape routes, though he makes sure to tell himself that he will not be using the stairs next to them. Hopefully whatever used them stays away.

He enters the lobby and quickly finds a remote spot to sit. Aya is still passed out, Brian can only assume that her spirit must be very weak because he can barely feel her. Whatever he can do is up to him for the time being, he will just have to do what he can to protect her until she regains her strength.

After a brief rest, Brian's mind begins to calm down, and he begins trying to contemplate what he just experienced.

"I saw not one, but two random ghosts...and a fucking monster! The weirdest part was the fact that I did something to push that thing away. I'm tired as hell now too, I wonder if Aya would know what happened..."

Brian soon realizes a strange feeling, like he is being watched. He slowly looks up to see a small dark orb right in front of him. His eyes widen, but before he can do anything else the orb suddenly launches into his body! It feels like lightning shocking every part of his body, paralyzing him in place. Almost immediately there is a new feeling of a very heavy weight pushing down on his mind, almost like a blanket. Brian feels thoroughly trapped, fear rising with every heartbeat.

"What the hell is going on now?!"

Voice: "What a nice body you have here...I'll be taking it now. It's not often a suitable person walks through here."

"You can't take my body, I won't let you! Get the fuck out of here!"

Voice: "Struggle all you want, I am much stronger than you. My desire to feel life and freedom from this place...I can see it!"

Brian can't even voice an argument, the **** he is feeling is too strong, and it only feels like it is getting stronger. He puts up a fight but feels a drain that threatens to end him. Before the end that he expects comes true Brian suddenly feels more pressure all around him like it is scooping his mind up. The next thing he feels is a push...and then he is staring at his body. Confused but quickly regaining his orientation he realizes that he is finally able to move. Taking the chance he tries to jump back into his body, but he is easily denied. Whatever took his body was not lying when they said that they were much stronger.

He can only watch as his body gets up and walks towards the front door. Desperation fills his mind as he slowly floats after his departing body.

"Hey get back here with my body!!"

Try as he might his body outpaces his current ability to float. The distance between his ghost and his body quickly grew.

"Wait! Ahhh, fuck!!"

Within a matter of seconds, Brian loses sight of his body, and he is left at the entrance alone....as a ghost.

His thoughts race: "What about Aya? What am I going to do?!"

He calms down and thinks. Maybe he can possess someone and go after his body. He needs to be quick if he ever wants to return! Desperately scanning the lobby he spots an older man sitting on a bench alone. Brian thinks he would be a good option due to his age. He floats to the man and tries to invade the decrepit body but soon finds that he is too weak from the fight he put up earlier to even take over a fragile old man. Feeling defeated he turns to head back towards the inner part of the resort when he notices another orb floating near the elevator. This one feels less evil than the other one as far as Brian can tell, and he can see a faint outline of a body.
