The plan is a go

“So surprising the character capture ray was easy to pop off and make handheld,” Bulma reported to the gathered group. “I was even able to take one of the storage devices and connect them to be able to store a bunch of people. This is some impressive and easy to modify tech.” Bulma used a wrench to point at the backpack attached to the ray gun she made with some help from Sabine.

“So we are changing the plan? We’re working on this instead of the shuttle?” Hera asks as she tries to work out how the device actually worked.

“It will help us not have to worry so much about patrols at least,” Gogo pointed out. She gestured to the pile of loyal tribe members they had piled in a corner; the Velma was naturally at the bottom. “We can get these guys out of the way along with Canary’s crew. No one is going to expect us to barge in with this baby.”

“You think the others will be upset that we might be messing with their plan,” Kiva asked.

“I don’t think they’ll mind, Himiko would know how to roll with it,” Sabine replied. “She’ll probably use us as a distraction to get her boy toy out.”

“Anyways, our current problem is how we are going to keep it powered,” Keira pointed out to her. “The engine can’t be moved without damaging the shuttle more. And while my power cells make infinite energy, I don’t have enough to power the weapon fast enough.”

“Maybe I can run on a wheel and use Sonic mode to make enough?” Ugly Sonic suggested. “I mean supposedly Sonic can run lightspeed though with my body, it’s probably less. Like a lot less.” The group contemplated his suggestion. Sabine looked out the shuttle window into the distance and suddenly got up.

“I think I have an idea.”

(The next morning)

“Huh, I kind of thought they would’ve come for us in our sleep,” Mai commented as her other thirds got ready for the day.

“They must not have heard about what happened yet, they haven’t been butting in as much since their snitch disappeared,” Ruffnut commented as she got dressed. Lusamine/Nora/Mai were bunking in the same room as Ruffnut, Luz, and Barriss; it was a very cramped arrangement despite the room actually being two rooms whose separating wall was torn down. “They will definitely know by lunch.”

“We’ll keep ourselves scarce down in the lower levels until that tea party distraction,” Lusamine informed.

“Why can’t we go out and fight some of the tribes until it's time?” Nora complained. “I wanna break some legs.”

“They might lock us out and be done with it,” Mai reminded her before looking at Luz. “Luz, how goes your magic things?”

“My glyphs are done,” Luz said as she got up from her desk holding several paper sheets. “I made four, one to get you in, one to get you out. And two just in case. Just remember they only work if you are holding your breath.”

“Yeah, yeah, I got it,” Ruffnut shrugged her off and put away the sheets. Ruffnut then grabbed a bottle of something. “You sure this will stop her sex voice?”

“No pokemon researcher and conservationist worth their salt doesn’t know how to stop a Loudred from causing a ruckus,” Lusamine claimed. “They can collapse buildings which is bad if your research center is in the middle of the ocean.”

A clock with a smashed glass face started chiming. Ruffnut put away the bottle and started heading to the door. “Looks like it's time, wish me luck!”

“Break a leg!” Nora shouted as the door closed.

“Let’s get a move on as well, we need to finish preparations,” Barriss informed Luz who nodded.
