The Lecture

Her instincts about possibly running late had proven on the money. By the time she reached the auditorium, arriving just a minute or so after Manfred Manwood had entered, the space which could easily accommodate 400 students was nearly filled to the brim. Not wanting to climb the stairs to find a spot, with the professor already readying his material to start his lecture, she scanned the first ten rows for any vacant spaces and noticed one in the fifth row, the second seat from the right.
