Chapter 3 by JenLoves2Write JenLoves2Write

Who or what else might Missy encounter on her first day at her new school?

THE UTA

Missy hadn't been particularly perturbed by the brief encounter with the trio of nerdy looking individuals. One of them having given her the kind of piercing gaze she associated with being eye-banged. He had looked like the kind of guy who only ever got attention from his left or right hand and she had no doubt she might feature in some of his masturbatory fantasies later on. By the time she settled on an empty two person table outside of the cute on-campus coffee shop called the Cozy Cup, the short interaction was all but forgotten about. She had ordered a vanilla sweet cream cold brew, the cool drink pleasant underneath the afternoon sun. She was just taking a sip from her cup when someone brushed up against her back and as she glanced back she saw a sheepish looking individual holding a briefcase, holding the other hand up in an apologetic gesture, in spite of the reusable cold cup in it. "Oh... I'm sorry Miss... didn't mean to hit you... I was shoved... it pushed my briefcase into you." Missy took in the man's appearance, whose briefly flustered demeanor had instead turned into a charming look, his lips crooked in an ironic smile.

It was clear he wasn't a student, between his age - if she had to guess early thirties - and his attire. A member of staff thus. So either a professor or a teaching assistant? "Anyway, I should be on my way. I'm Timothy, BTW. But most of my friends call me Tim. Who knows, one day I might be lucky enough to call you my friend." He was laying it on a bit thick, but it worked well enough for her to return his smile. "Missy... Missy Madison. And I might see you around, so who knows. I'm new on campus. Still getting my bearings." Another one of those flashy smiles, the kind that briefly reminded Missy of the way Brad Pitt could smile, in that aw-shucks, pleased with himself manner. "Well, I would love to play tour guide, my dear Missy, but I'm afraid I am already running late for my next class. But I do hope to see you around." She felt his gaze go over her in another one of those once-over motions, and then he was gone. Like the trio of nerds had done with her, Missy now followed Tim with her eyes until he had disappeared into the crowd of students.
