The Roomie

Missy had navigated across campus, deciding to pair her little aimless exploration trip with the useful. Having maintained her prior Major, she had enrolled in the journalism program, with a minor in English and to obtain her class schedule, she went to administration to obtain a copy of her academic calendar. Waiting in line for that was fairly uneventful, apart from one frat dude wearing a Xi Delta Psi sweater checking out her butt rather unashamedly, even after she had caught him in the act and given him the stink eye. "What? You're the one wearing shorts that look spray-painted on darling. I'm just admiring the goods." She had returned her attention to the line in front of her with a huff, though by the time she had received the folder embossed with the University logo that contained her class schedule for the entire first semester, the encounter with the neanderthal frat boy had already been all but forgotten about.

She decided to head back to her dorm room for a bit, do the last of her unpacking and then perhaps head out for an early dinner, since she had skipped lunch. When she arrived back at her dorm room door, she found it open and the formerly unoccupied side now also had boxes clustered around the bed. No sign of the fellow occupant as of yet... at least not until a redheaded girl came bounding in a minute or so later, carrying a stack of smaller boxes, the top one of which slipped from her grasp. Missy was just quick enough to catch it before it dropped to the floor. "Oooh... thanks... That was a close one! I have crap in there that can actually break!" She put the two other boxes down on the ground and then wiped some of the dust that had transferred from the boxes to her hands off on her skirt, before extending a hand to shake Missy's. "You must be my roomie? Hi... nice to meet you, I'm Elena. Elena Aleksandrs." Missy found herself accepting the handshake and returning the girl's smile. "Nice to meet you, I'm Missy Madison. I only just moved in myself, was exploring the campus a bit just now."
