Dave nodded. "We need staff for home. I'm thinking we get at least one or two for now and start having the rest delivered every day or couple of days." He started calling up the ones they'd already looked at. "I'm thinking about one of these."

Harley grinned and he gave her a look. "What?" She asked. "I'm not saying anything."

Tink giggled. "They'd make fine maids. I guess the question is how "human" do you want their personality to be. Some of these are very much so and others... more subtle." She pointed at the darkly dressed one. "You know that one's a fine choice but..."

Dave nodded. "That's why I put her at the top of the list... R. Dorothy Wayneright."

Harley laughed. "She's gonna call ya a louse ya know... and she's going to insist on having a piano. No sleeping in past noon."

Dave sighed and nodded. "I know." That was his guilty pleasure after getting away from the ranch. He didn't do it often but on a weekend he'd occasionally like to.

Harley pointed at the other at the top of the list. "This one's the opposite. She's extremely "human". In a way she is human. Just synthetically. And she's extremely sweet. Compasionate, courageous and a good cook like... well, you know."

Dave nodded. "Look I get what you're saying but it's not like that and any similarities between Dorothy and Melfina and-"

"Get both," She and Tink said.

Dave blinked. "What?"

"Both are good but different and both are perfectly acceptable as well as capable and within our budget," Tink said while Harley nodded adding. " We're going to need at least two helpers and preferably more, so get both."

Dave swallowed. "Both, huh?" He looked at their prices and while not cheap they weren't expensive either and were well within their budget for several new characters with all the money they'd saved.

He looked at Harley and Tink grinning at him and sighed. "Fine... I guess we better buy Dorothy a piano and a bicycle and consider saving up for a spaceship. Melfina can stay as is but I think we should upgrade Dorothy with top of the line parts. She'd probably like something better than a disk drive and weighting a bit less..."
