Chapter 40 by 280tcove 280tcove

Do you manage to get Bianca on your way to class?

Romano the...

"So you're really not surprised that Violet and I are together now?" I ask Bianca as we walk to class.

"Dio mio! I already told you I'm not. The only thing that surprises me is how long it took. Now can we please talk about something else?" She responds in an annoyed tone.

Man, I guess Violet really did talk about me a lot if she's already over this topic. She even busted out a little Italian. That's how you know she's serious. I decide it's probably in my best interest to drop it, so I just let Bianca rattle on about some new Sci-Fi she binged over the weekend.

As the two of us are walking, I keep my eyes out for a good moment to use the remote. We pass a few people on the sidewalk, but once we get inside the building our class is in, no one seems to be in the hall at this moment. Perfect. All I have to do now is find an opportunity where she's not focused on me. I should probably try my best to get it done before we get to class, especially if Katia is already there. It's pretty likely that Katia will be vying for my attention as soon as I walk into the room, which would make using the remote much trickier. Speaking of which, I wonder how Katia is doing. Not the best time to worry about that, though. I'll see her soon enough.

Let's see... I could do the old "look over there" trick. No, that probably wouldn't buy me enough time. Maybe I could try to bet her she can't touch her toes or challenge her to a race or something? No, Bianca's too lazy for that. I guess I could just trip her, but I'd rather not end up hurting her. What I could really use is an arcade machine. That would hold her attention for more than long enough. I didn't think this would be so difficult.

"Hey, can we stop for a sec? I want a drink of water," I suddenly hear Bianca say. I look back at her to see her stopped in front of a water fountain.

Oh. Yeah, I probably should have thought of that. We literally just ate. God, I can be an idiot sometimes.

"Sure, go ahead. I'll wait for you," I say, trying to play it cool.

"Thanks."

With that, Bianca turns her back to me and starts drinking. As much as I want to stare at her ass, I have a mission. I pull out the remote and lock-on. As I hit the red button, I hope whatever she ends up with isn't too much for Violet to handle. Violet is pretty tough, so I'm not too worried, but with this thing, you never know. Alright, let's see what we're dealing with...

- SELECTED TARGET: BIANCA ROMANO -

Identity: Robot

Huh. I... guess that works? This feels like one of the more out-there identities I've seen, but it doesn't sound like it will be that difficult to deal with. I could go on about how unexpected and weird this is, but honestly, I've kind of just learned to accept the strangeness at this point. More than anything, I'm just curious how this will effect Bianca's personality. If nothing else, it's probably safe to say that her high intelligence isn't going anywhere.

Initial Attribute Unlocked

MECHANICAL PRECISION

The target will begin to adopt the mannerisms of a machine. The target's movements will become more rigid, and their voice will become more monotone.

Okay, this might actually be somewhat problematic. It's not exactly easy to hide the way someone walks and talks. People are probably going to notice something is wrong when Bianca starts moving like a robot. Also, this attribute doesn't say anything about changing her personality, so is Bianca going to start gushing over video games and shows in a robotic monotone? That's a weird thought, although it's kind of hot at the same time. Either way, it usually takes a little bit before the effects of the remote become noticeable, so I don't have much to worry about right now. At some point, I'll need to talk with Violet about how we should handle this though.

With that out of the way, I put the remote back in my pocket to see I finished just in time. Bianca returns to my side, seemingly no different than before.

"Alright, I'm good now. Let's go," she says, still in her normal voice.

As always, I'll try to keep an eye on her, at least until Violet can take over.

The two of us arrive at chemistry class and as usual, we go our separate ways. I head over to my seat to find Katia is already there, waving happily at me as I approach. The first thing I notice is that she's dressed completely differently than she was last week. Rather than wearing one of those overall dress things, she now has on a plaid skirt. She's also wearing a black-and-white striped shirt that slightly exposes her midriff. The look is completed with a small lace choker around her neck. The whole outfit is certainly more eye-catching than what she normally wears. A lot more like what I would think of for an E-Girl too.

"Hello, Matt! I hope you are doing well!" Katia says as I sit down.

It's good to see Katia still seems as cheerful as she did when I first me her. When it comes to the remote, you never know how it could change something like that.

"I am, Katia. It's good to see you. I see you got some new duds," I respond.

"Duds? What is that?" Oh right. I probably shouldn't use slang around Katia.

"It's another word for clothes."

"Ah! I see! Yes, I did get new clothes, although I am not sure why. For some reason, I have started to not like my old clothes. They have become all boring, so I went shopping on the weekend and bought new clothes. I do not know why I did this, but I feel much better now," Katia explains.

Oh, that's another thing I forgot about. For whatever reason, Katia has been the only girl I've used the remote on (besides Violet after seeing her profile) who seems to notice her weird behavior, even if just barely. Still no idea what that's about.

"By the way, Katia, do you still have those headaches?" I ask in curiosity.

"I do not get them as often, no. But I thank you for asking. You do not think the headaches had something to do with my old clothes, do you? Is that why I stopped liking them?"

"I'm not sure. Maybe," is all I can say back.

I suppose it's possible that trying to act contrary to her attribute is what has been causing Katia's headaches, like a lesser version of what happened to Michelle, but I don't have any way to be sure of that. Who knows if I'll ever truly figure out why she's had such a strange reaction to the remote?

As the conversation lulls slightly, I take the opportunity to see how Bianca is doing. I watch as she takes her school materials out of her bag and places them on the table in front of her. While she does, I notice the first sign of her attribute so far. She puts her notebook squarely in the center of her work area, then neatly places multiple writing utensils in a line on one side of the notebook and an eraser and pencil sharpener on the other side. The final result looks incredibly meticulous, a far cry from the disorganized, messy way Bianca usually keeps her stuff. I guess that makes sense though. I would assume a robot would arrange things in a very calculated way. Maybe this attribute will result in Violet's apartment not being so messy all the time. Wouldn't that be something?

"Hey, do not look over there. Everything worth seeing is right over here," I hear from behind me.

I swing my head around to see Katia staring intently at me. She's fluttering her eyelids and biting her lip. She also clasping her arms in front of her, causing her boobs to squish together. I can't tell if that's intentional or not, but it's definitely noticeable. If there was any doubt about whether or not Katia has started craving more attention, there isn't anymore.

Luckily, I saw what I wanted to with Bianca, so I can go back to talking to Katia for now. She seems very pleased once I do so, which will likely reinforce her flirty behavior in the future. After a bit of time, Professor Jones comes in and starts the class. Katia seems upset about us having to pay attention instead of continuing our conversation, but reluctantly turns away from me to do so.

Honestly, I'm not happy having to do this either. After my experience in Shannon's class today, the thought of having a normal class is really unappealing. Oh well. I'll just power through and hope that something interesting happens later.

Does something interesting happen later?
