Cast a Disillusionment Charm

You decide your best option is to cast a Disillusionment Charm. If you can get past the Slytherins without them catching you, you should be able to get to the Potions storeroom without much trouble. You pause for a moment to calm yourself, then cast the charm. Icy coolness spreads across your body as the charm takes hold. You look down and are gratified not to see your body. Keeping hold of your wand, you step into the corridor.

To your relief, none of the Slytherins look up. You edge towards the group until you’re only a few metres away. Now comes the hard part – the Slytherins are taking up most of the corridor so you have to be careful not to touch any of them or they’ll notice you. You slide along the wall as silently as you can.

You stop just as you pass the group when one of them turns around. Malfoy’s eyes narrow as he looks in your general direction. You hope that he hasn’t noticed anything.

“What is it?” one of the Slytherins asks.

“I thought I saw something”, Malfoy replies. There’s a long pause where you hold your breath. “Must’ve just been a shadow.”

Malfoy turns back to his friends. You make the last few steps and turn another corner, out of their sight. You breathe in a deep sigh of relief. That was close.

The Potions storeroom is a few doors down. You open the door and step inside. As you close the door behind you, you notice that you’re not alone. You curse your bad luck silently under your breath. It’s one thing to accidentally run into a gang of Slytherin students, but to also stumble across Snape is quite unlucky.

Snape is sitting behind a desk, looking through a list of ingredients. He looks up briefly from his work, but clearly hasn’t noticed anything strange; your Disillusionment Charm is still working fine. He taps his quill against the parchment as he thinks.

“That takes Potter into account”, Snape mumbles to himself.

He stands up suddenly and walks into an adjacent room. You look around the storeroom to see your options. A cupboard in the corner looks like a good place to start looking for the ingredients you need. However, your interest has been piqued by Snape’s comment. You could investigate his desk to see why he was thinking of you, and you may find a hint to the location of the ingredients at the same time.
