Investigate the desk

You walk quickly to the desk and look at the parchments scattered on it. The one Snape had been looking at was a list of students in his Potions classes, with some comments beside them. You scan down the list until you see your name.

‘Hero complex’, you read. ‘Always picking fights. Middling Potions skill.’

You grin. This is exactly what you expect Snape to think of you. If you manage to brew the Felix Felicis potion, that may increase your standing in Snape’s eyes, but knowing him, he’ll probably suspect that you stole it off someone. You shrug. There’s no pleasing some people.

You glance at some of the other parchments. Another pile of parchments half hidden beneath others immediately jumps out at you. The top page is a detailed drawing of the room, with a key for different shelves and cupboards. The sheets beneath it are an exhaustive list of the ingredients kept in each location. You pick up the parchments and look for your ingredients.

Suddenly, you hear movement in the other room. Snape is about to return. You grab all the parchments and duck beneath the desk. Luckily, there’s a lot of room there for you to hide. Unless Snape is looking out for you, your Disillusionment Charm should keep you safe.

Snape returns to the room and sits back at the desk. You’re suddenly hit by how close you are to the Potions Master. You could reach out and touch him, though that would be a terrible idea. You hear the scratching of a quill as Snape continues writing. Luckily, he hasn’t noticed the parchments you took.

Snape shifts his position, opening his legs a bit. Now, you’re staring directly at Snape’s crotch. It could be your imagination, but you think you can see a bulge there. Your mind, never keen on focusing on the job, starts imagining what lies beneath the black fabric. The idea of Snape’s cock is simultaneously revolting and intriguing. You’d never even imagined Snape having a sexual side before. You have the strongest urge to reach out and touch the bulge.

Luckily, before you can do something to let yourself be caught, Snape moves again. This time, it’s clear that he’s packing up. There’s the sound of moving parchments, then Snape stands up. You hear the door to the storeroom open, then close.

You remain underneath the desk for a few minutes, making sure that Snape doesn’t return. As you’re crouching there, you feel the coolness of the Disillusionment Charm fade away. You’re lucky that the charm lasted until Snape left the room.

Finally, you get out from your hiding place. Taking the list of ingredients, you scan it for any that you need. There are two – Ashwinder eggs and Occamy eggshells. Following the key on the first parchment, you locate your ingredients and take a vial of each. You hope that Snape won’t miss them, and if he does, he won’t be able to track it back to you. Now, you have to find the remaining ingredients.
