Chapter 59 by Felixfalck Felixfalck

What happens next?

Kitty gets called out for ..cheating!?

The light which had been emitting from the board began shifting. Similarly to what it had done a couple of times before, text began to form within the dancing light.

"Player four has performed an illegal move. A die roll is required to move the game piece. A proportionate penalty shall be issued"

"WHAT?! This is fucking stupid! What difference does it make!?"

"Well.. Rules are rules" Bitch said, trying her best to suppress the great satisfaction she got from watching Kitty lose so spectacularly.

Tension built up in the room as the group collectively awaited the game's verdict. On the surface, Kitty looked calm and ready, but inside she was losing her mind. She couldn't specifically remember any of the punishments, even the fact that some had been dished out previously was but a muddled memory. But the notion, the sheer terror still loomed over the word penalty. After a brief pause, albeit one which felt like it lasted forever, the board followed up on it's ominous declaration.

"Player four's turn will be skipped. Player one will proceed as usual."

"ABSURD! How is that fair?! Transform me or something instead, please! This is NOT okay!!"

Somehow, that punishment was even worse than having her body and mind twisted on the whims of the game. There was this underlying safety in knowing that all of it was reversible. Having the game just straight up take the win away from her like that? That's probably the cruelest possible outcome. Any "punishment" would've been alright so long as she still won. There wasn't any way in which Kitty could win now. Either Cheshire would seize it with her next turn, or Bitch would perform the redundant, yet STUPIDLY obligatory final throw and win.

Welp. It doesn't really matter who wins as long as we're all saved by the wish. So please, Cheshire. WIN THIS. I don't think that that smug bitch will do us any favors if she wins..

Despite being distraught at how suddenly the rug had been pulled from under her, Kitty prayed for Cheshire's good fortune. She had no trust in Bitch or her intentions when it came to the wish. The reason only one of them had chickened out at that point was Cheshire early misfortunes, though that motivation felt more and more distant as the game progressed. Kitty had difficulties reading what went on in her friend's mind, but surely it would be in Cheshire's best interest to return to normal. And with how the rest of them enabled for that to happen, it'd be the least she could do to return the favor..

Does Cheshire win?
