Laying out the stakes

Carmelita and Harriet both pointedly said nothing at the meeting thirty minutes later. Anna and Jennifer's uniforms were both unacceptably mussed up, clearly the two had gotten overwhelmed by their passion soon after being left alone together. On any other day it would have been something to discipline them over.

Nobody in attendance seemed to be begrudging them over it as they started the presentation though so it was easy enough to let it slide.

"Ahem." Jennifer started. "As you all know this training exercise is about quite a bit more than just maintaining good international relationships. Our Generals have both proposed and you'll all be pleased to know they both said yes." There was polite clapping and several winks thrown at that statement.

"This training exercise will therefore be determining which nation they will be making their primary domicile and which will be retiring from service." Anna took over, "As such despite this still nominally being a training exercise we ask that you treat it as if it were an actual battle."

"I'd not be opposed." Captain Nora Hansen, the company commander from the ESF said. "As long as Emily agrees." She said looking at her UCA counterpart who returned the look with a grin.

"If you're so eager to see what you missed out on." From what Carmelita remembered the two had skirmished multiple times in the most recent campaign. Their record reminding her of her own relationship with Harriet. Clearly Jennifer and Anna had planned to settle more than one score. A masterpiece of planning. Still she needed to speak up.

"This is a training exercise so no collars." Carmelita pointed out. She wasn't worried about the pregnancy aspect. It was expected that at least a few pregnancies would result from training exercises that got intense and they were covered under the same programs as battles.

"No official collars at least." Harriet said with a wink at the pair. The junior officers of the companies looking across at one another, clearly evaluating if they wanted to get involved.

"In any case." Anna said, clearly wanting to get the meeting back on track. "Both sides will deploy on opposites sides of the training area. After which the Generals will assume command in order to properly assess combat performance. The winner of the exercise will be the one that eliminates the opposing **** as an effective fighting unit. Either by total destruction or by withdrawal. Any questions?"
