Gryffindor Tower

You unstopper the vial and take a sip of the golden potion. As the potion takes hold, you begin to walk. You don’t know exactly where you’re headed, but you know that Felix Felicis will never steer you wrong.

As you climb the staircases in Hogwarts castle, you feel like you’re in a dream. You’re sure that you could close your eyes and still make it past the moving staircases and trick steps, all while avoiding Filch and Peeves. You pass some people on your journey, but you never have the urge to stop and talk to them. A few people say something to you, but you just reply vaguely while continuing to walk.

You end up in a familiar corridor. At the end of it, the portrait of the Fat Lady hangs, concealing the entrance to the Gryffindor Common Room. The Fat Lady smiles at you as you approach her.

“Magna Fortuna”, you say.

“And to you, too”, the Fat Lady replies.

Her portrait swings forward and you enter the Common Room. There’s a number of students scattered around the room, but none that you are particularly friendly with. You notice, however, a small unattended package on a table next to the fire. You could go to your dormitory and see if your roommates are up there. Alternatively, you could remain in the Common Room and see what luck will bring. Finally, you could investigate that mysterious package.
