Meeting Kagha
Druids are the Same as Clerics
There's a crowd at the entrance to the inner grove, demand to let a child go. A man transforms into a bear to get them to disperse. Talking to the parents, you discover that their daughter, Arabella, stole their idol and is now being held prisoner. You promise them that you will talk to Kahga about letting her go.
One of the druids try to stop you, but another one says you are wanted by Kagha. Quicky ushered in, without a chance to look around, you see Arabella begging for mercy as a snake slithers around her. "She's just a child" you plead.
"She's a parasite. She eats our food, drinks our water, and steals our holy idol in thanks. I will imprison the devil. And I will cast out every stranger."
You nearly snapped at the word devil. The clerics called you that when they threw you out. But you were a bard, not a barbarian, so you kept your cool. Lashing out wouldn't help the girl and, despite their protests to what Kagha was doing, you suspected that they wouldnt take your side if fighting broke out. "I'll see she stays out of trouble"
"She may go, but break your word, and my serpent will feed."
Shadowheart holds her hand as she whimpers in pain something to bring up later.
"Go on, say it. You think I'm a monster." Kagha says.
"Monster? To kind. More like a demon." Wyll replies. I agree wholeheartedly.
"I know your kind" she says "you see only villains and victims. I'm merely a viper, protecting her brood. No matter, we have the idol back, and the rite continues. Soon we will be free from intruders."
I try to plea for Zevlor, but it falls on deaf ears. She suggests that I protect them on the road.
