Borg rescue

“The Cienega, our assigned ship, had been assigned to look into a missing merchant ship,” Starfire explained as she held up the photo. This photo of the set appeared to have been taken from security footage of the trio with a bunch of babies with cybernetic attachments in baby carriers. They were being chased by cyborgs in a green and dark hallway and while Starfire and the girl held back the combatants, James was trying to get an escape pod to open. “Instead we found a Borg ship.”

“Ano. What are Borg?” Asked Hinata. Ahsoka and Starfire gave her and the others a brief run down on the Borg and their threat. “Oh that’s awful.”

“Yes, they are a frightening foe,” Starfire nodded before holding up a starbolt. “They were even able to adapt to my starbolts.”

“Why were you on their ship?” Asked Aelita, concerned despite knowing they made it back alright.

“We weren’t told exactly why but we had to go on board with Commander Shigra and others,” Starfire looked up and poked her chin as she tried to think of why the away team had gone inside. “We thought the ship and Borg were disabled but something came online and we were separated from the others.”

“If something disabled the Borg maybe the captain wanted information for Borg countermeasures?” Ahsoka suggested, knowing such information would be valuable.

“Maybe,” Starfire shrugged and before continuing. “We were looking for a way to get back to the others when we found the most adorable little bumgorfs in alcoves.”

“And instead of leaving the Borg babies there, you decided to liberate them,” Ahsoka smiled happy that Starfire and James chose to rescue the babies from being Borg drones.

“Yes, we saved as many as we could while avoiding the patrols,” Starfire explained animatedly, mimicking sneaking and snooping around. “We had to abandon our efforts once the Borg ship started exploding around us. James was able to get us and the bumgorfs to a pod and we escaped. Our captain transported us to the ship once we were clear.”

“How many did you save?”

“Around thirty we got out, last I recall they were all safely adopted and freed of the Borg,” Starfire said happily. “The captain was very happy as it helped advance technology to free more Borg later.”

“James always wants to help people,” Aelita said wistfully.

“He also loves messing with people,” Katara chuckled.

“Oh yes, especially when he can do both,” Starfire looked around for a particular picture. “Where is it? I saw it before.” Starfire shifted through the photos and items. “There it is!” She said as she waved around a photo and a pressed flower.
