"...you should stay with me, in the house," Malon told him. Link didn't know enough about horses to know what some of those words meant, and his face must have shown her that was the case. Blushing a little, Malon told him, "I'll explain more of all that later on." Then she headed into the house, and Link followed her. It was a little hard to get through the door, thanks to width and height, but Link did manage it, with a bit of effort. Once in there, Malon showed Link where he could sleep (in the living room) and where various things were.

Once that was done, in was around noon, and Link's stomach growled in hunger. Weirdly enough, there was a growl from his human abdomen and his horse one. Multiple stomachs? Feeling a little awkward, Link asked her what they had to eat.

Looking curious, Malon scratched her head. "Hmm...well, I don't know. We have plenty of food, we are a ranch after all, but I don't know what you'd be able to eat." Thinking it over, Malon suggested, "How about a salad?"

That sounded good to Link, and he told her so. Of course, he was hungry enough that anything sounded good, but whatever. She went to work making the food, and while she did that, Link asked her about that word she'd used earlier, estrus.

When Malon took the salad over to Link, her face was as red as the tomatoes in the bowl. "Oh, uh, well..." After looked like she was searching for the right words, Malon told Link, "It means your horse body is basically in heat. That's why I wanted you in here, away from the other horses."
