with a tabletop game

The bell rings and Jeff bolts over to open the door revealing James laden with a number of boxes and books. You all help him carry his possessions to the spacious table. He doesn't bother introducing himself to Keith or Sammy and you reassure her that this is just how James is. He's already into character.

James : "Good evening adventurers. Welcome to the land of Austoriath. You have all gathered here to answer the queen's **** call for aid in preventing Falthion, the dark lord of Farstoon from annexing the kingdom by ****. Her plea speaks to all Austorians as everyone from lowly thieves to mighty arrogant knights has heard the stories about how Falthion treats its conquests. The men worked to **** in the mytheril mines and the women used and broken in war brothels during in the next conquest."

Jan seemed a little shocked that the game went there but you guess the stakes need to be high to bring all sorts of adventurers together. James continues.

James: "How you go about this is up to you. Will you face his army head on and attempt to break the **** no other opponent has been able to defeat? Will your weapon be diplomacy? Could an alliance with the neighboring realms to come to your aid? Will you sneak past his forces and deal with Falthion himself, severing the evil head and letting his forces disintegrate with no leader. The choice is yours"

James then lays out a number of pre-filled character sheets, each with an accompanying figure. You should read through the options and pick who you want to be for this campaign.
