Where to?

wait in her room

Liandra had done all she could. Now it was time to wait.
Minutes passed slowly, feeling like hours. Kendra must now be with her father. If her trick has worked, then she would be safe. If not, she’d likely be lying on the kings desk with her legs spread.

Liandra didn’t want to think about it, but somehow her mind kept wandering to Kendra lying naked on her fathers desk. She knew that since she was no longer wearing the ring, her feelings for Kendra should have diminished. But if so, then why was she still so eager to think of her friend in a naughty way.

Then her door opened and Kendra came inside.
“Kendra! You’re back!” Liandra called.
“Thank you. How have you been in the meantime?”
“I was worried.” Liandra said. “Tell me, how did the meeting go.”
“Well,” Kendra explained. “Like we agreed upon, we talked about the deployment of Nocternian troops within Luxian borders. He also came back to a previous deal and told me I could send for another Nocternian noble as an ambassador. That was pretty much it.”
Liandra could feel her heart beating in her chest.
“So, he didn’t …”
“I thought he would, but eventually he never made a pass at me.” Kendra said.
Liandra gave a sigh of relief. She didn’t have a ring to tell her what was true or false any more, but she didn’t care. She could tell it was true.

“Please don’t take this the wrong way.” Kendra told Liandra. “But I think you Luxians are a little weird.”
Liandra was surprised upon hearing this. “Why would you say that?”
“While this nation should be full of people with prejudices against Nocternians, you, it’s princess, is completely without these prejudices. Then your father, the king, makes me think like he’d take advantage while he doesn’t. And on my ay back here, I noticed a squire boy walking rather gingerly.”
Liandra hid her face behind her hands and started laughing. She could imagine what has happened.
“Yes, I guess we are kind-of weird like that.” Liandra answered between laughs.

“So anyways, since my task here has been completed, I will have to report to the emperor back in Nocternia.”
This brought Liandra straight out of her joyful moment.
“What … do you have to go now?”
“Preferably as soon as possible. The earlier I deliver this message, the sooner those drakes can be dispatched.”

Should Liandra wait until Kendra returns? Or join her on her journey?
