Chapter 24

Should Liandra wait until Kendra returns? Or join her on her journey?
Join her
“I want to go with you.” Liandra blurted out.
“Excuse me?” Kendra asked.
“Your homeland, I want you to take me there. I want to see it for myself.”
Liandra hugged Kendra tightly. “I want to see where you came from, where you grew up. Learn to understand the place that turned you into the person I know. The person I love.”
Kendra closed her eyes and left out a sigh.
“Fine, I’ll take you. Under the sole condition that your father allows you to join me.”
Kendra said this because she couldn’t afford making the king think his daughter had been kidnapped. But when Liandra heard it, it made her heart sink.
“My father will never allow me to go, Kendra.”
Kendra ended the hug and looked into the princesses eyes.
“Try telling him something different then it just being a regular visit. Tell him you intent to ‘save us from our wicked ways’ for example.”
“Do you want to be saved?” Liandra pondered.
“ … No, I would like to hold on to my own faith. But your father doesn’t need to know that.”
Liandra rubbed her tears away and said “Ok, I’ll try.”
Will Liandra be succesfull at convincing her father?
