they get (re-)dressed and head for the pool

After their latest thrilling encounter, Abbie and Jake freshened up for the pool. Abbie opted for her green bikini, pairing it with a sun hat, shawl, and flip flops. She packed a small bag with essentials -- sunglasses, lotion, oil, and a book. Jake donned a knee-length blue swimsuit, white t-shirt, and flip flops.

As they strolled down the hallway, the plush carpet muffled their footsteps. The elevator ride was brief, filled with the faint scent of vanilla air freshener. In the lobby, the cool air conditioning raised goosebumps on Abbie's skin.

"I can't wait to feel the sun," Abbie said, adjusting her hat.

Jake grinned. "Race you to the pool?"

They walked through the lower hotel, the sound of distant laughter and splashing growing louder. As they approached the pool area, the unmistakable scent of chlorine mingled with coconut sunscreen.

Stepping onto the sun-warmed deck, they took in the scene. The expansive main pool sparkled invitingly, its surface rippling gently. To one side, steam rose from two circular hot tubs. A smaller wading pool caught Abbie's eye.

"Oh god, do children come to this hotel?" she whispered to Jake.

He shrugged. "Probably not often. Look how fancy everything is."

Indeed, the pool area was a picture of luxury. Plush lounge chairs lined the deck, each topped with a fresh white towel. Elegant cabanas offered shade, their curtains fluttering in the warm breeze. A tiki bar stood at one end, the bartender already mixing colorful drinks. What truly captured their attention was the lagoon-style pool connected to the main one through a cave-like tunnel. Lush plants surrounded it, creating a tropical oasis.

Abbie's face lit up with excitement. "This is a dream come true!" She scanned the area, excited by the possibilities. "I can't decide if I want to swim first or bask in the sun," she mused.

Jake followed her closely behind. "Why not both? Quick dip to cool off, then we'll dry out in the sun."
